Complete a TAE40110 Certificate IV Training & Assessment while undertaking a VET teaching practicum.
Vocational education and training (VET) is a significant and growing component of senior secondary schooling, with approximately 50% of all year 11 and 12 students participating in VET in schools. Therefore, teachers who have the requirements to teach VET in a school setting will be highly competitive in seeking employment.
The Centre for Training Excellence, in partnership with Curtin University, is offering newly graduated secondary teachers a work experience placement at Central Institute of Technology. The fast track program provides participants with the Certificate IV Training and Assessment and experience working in a VET environment delivering VET qualifications to VET in Schools students and adult learners. This program aims to increase participants’ employment opportunities in delivering VET in schools.
