Vocational Education and Training (VET) educators have an increasingly important role to play in raising the skill and productivity levels of the Australian workforce and removing barriers to participation and success such as low language, literacy and numeracy skills and disabilities. To satisfy this role, VET educators require a diverse skill set. They need to be innovative, adaptive and collaborative professionals, a specialist in their industry, and a highly skilled educator with a broad range of teaching and learning skills.

The Centre for Training Excellence (CTE) provides VET practitioners with a suite of targeted training and professional development courses. Our courses enable VET educators to maintain current knowledge and to build on their skills for the ever changing vocational education and training environment. Our Learning and Development Consultants

The Centre for Training Excellence’s courses are developed and delivered by vocational education and training experts. Our Learning and Development consultants are leaders in their field with extensive training and industry qualifications and experience. They have higher education teaching and vocational qualifications and maintain their Cert IV TAA currency. As educators they keep their knowledge and skills current by completing professional development in their industry area as well as in advanced training design skills, facilitation techniques and assessment methods and processes.

The Centre’s Consultants have a thorough understanding of the Australian vocational education and training environment. They advise on national VET sector initiatives and are regularly requested as conference guest speakers. They use their current knowledge to contextualise their training for clients from enterprises, schools, universities and registered training organisations. Our consultants have worked with clients locally, nationally and internationally.
